Veterans Day Parade

November 9th, 2019 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Honor a local Veteran by attending Osage Beach's Annual Veterans Day Parade. The Veterans Day parade begins at Osage Beach City Hall and ends at the Lake of the Ozarks Elks Lodge #2517. There will be free hot dogs and chili at the Elk's Lodge.

Attend a Veterans Day Ceremony at a Local School

Many of the area schools will have a Veterans Day Ceremony on Veterans Day. If you don't know many Veterans, attending one of the local school Veterans Day Ceremonies is a great way to show your support for our Veterans. Contact your local school district to find out when their ceremonies will be.

Other Ways to Show Your Support on Veterans Day

Attend a Local Veteran Organization's Veterans Day Ceremony

If you're not in the Lake Area, Veteran organizations such as American Legions, VFWs, Marine Corp League, and AMVETS will host Veterans Day community events across the country. Contact your local post or check online for ceremonies in your area."s and some other ways to honor our Veterans for Veterans Day.

Donate to or volunteer at a Veterans Charity

Give locally to your neighborhood veteran organizations to support veterans and families in your community or donate to national charities, such as Wounded Warriors Project, DAV (Disabled American Veterans), Folds of Honor, USO, H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, or the Veterans of Foreign Wars' National Home for Children.

Tell a Vietnam Veteran "welcome home"

This simple phrase means so much to a generation of warriors that were not given respect when they returned home from war. The statement tells them that you truly appreciate their service to our country while showing compassion for the way they were treated. The phase works well to thank all veterans but is special to the men and women who served in that era.

The Fran Campbell Team encourages everyone to take time to remember and thank the Veterans, Active Military and families for their sacrifices they have made to protect and serve our country.
