Fall Family Fun at the Lake - Punkin Chunkin Palooza 2019!

A popular myth about living at the Lake of the Ozarks is that there are only fun things to do during the summertime. This is a common misconception about the Lake Area! There are many fun annual events that take place at the Lake of the Ozarks. A fun annual event at the Lake of the Ozarks that is packed full of family fun is the Punkin Chunkin Palooza. About Pumkin Chunkin Palooza

Punkin Chunkin Palooza is a one-day fall festival that takes place at the Lake's largest outdoor music venue at the Lake - Ozarks Amphitheater! The main event happening 11:00 am every hour on the hour is a huge trebuchet "chunkin" pumpkins! There will also be a lot of fun fall-themed activities to partake in while you're there.

  • Pumkin Chunkin Competition
  • ChalkArt Competition and Exhibition
  • Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest 
  • Face Painting

Event Schedule 

  • Gates open at 10 AM
  • Trebuchet contest to start at 11AM-4PM
  • Trebuchet demonstrations will be held every hour on the hour.
  • Pirate and Magic Shows in the kid's area
  • Lake Area Arts Council Sidewalk Art Contest and Exhibition
  • Pie Eating Contest – Rules and Registration
  • The contest will begin at 1:00 pm, Each contestant will be given three pies
    • The first to finish all three pies win
    • If no one finishes in 8 minutes (allotted time), the contestant who eats the most pie wins
    • Must be 18 to enter
    • Register Day of event
    • 5 registrants will be called randomly from the list
    • Winner will receive a trophy and a stomach full of pie

Admission Prices

Adults (13 and older) – $8
Children 5 to 12 – $5
Children Under 5 – Free
Family Pass (max if 6 family members) – $20
Parking – FREE

The Westlake Aquatic Center is open 7 days a week for water aerobics, lap swimming, arthritis classes, open swim, swimming lessons, pool parties, lifeguard training and more. The mission of the Westlake Aquatic Center is to improve the health and quality of life for residents and visitors of all ages by providing physical fitness, rehabilitation, education, and social opportunities in a safe and environmentally friendly facility accessible to all.

Food 4 Morgan County

Food for Morgan County values everyone in the Morgan County and surrounding areas. F4MC strives in working to provide food for the Morgan County residents in need. F4MC works in connection with the Food Bank of Central and Northeastern Missouri.
