Outdoor Attractions At The Lake
People flock to the Lake for all kinds of reasons. Golfing, shopping, swimming, boating, hiking, camping, dining, horseback riding, kayaking... the list of attractions and activities our area has to offer goes on and on. Since June is Great Outdoors Month, our Lake of the Ozarks real estate agents thought it would be fitting to dedicate this week's blog to some of the unique outdoor attractions that can be found in our beautiful area. You'll have to check out some of these attractions next time you're in town!
Golf Courses
Our spectacular golf courses are some of the most well-known outdoor attractions we have. People travel from all over the surrounding states to experience the beauty, serenity, and magnificence of the Lake of the Ozarks golf courses. There are several different courses scattered across the entire Lake Area, each offering its own unique and exciting challenges and breathtaking views. Caves
It doesn't matter whether you are a long-time cave enthusiast or a beginner who is just discovering your interest in caves - you are going to love the cave tours available at the Lake of the Ozarks. The Lake Area is home to four distinct show caves: Bridal Cave, Jacob's Cave, Fantasy World Caverns, and Ozark Caverns. State Parks
With incredible scenery and spectacular views all their own, our local state parks offer a unique opportunity to experience the Lake of the Ozarks natural beauty as it was intended to be - untouched by tourism, industrialism, or commercialism. There are two state parks in our area: Lake of the Ozarks State Park and Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Collectively, they offer countless outdoor attractions including hiking, kayaking, picnicking, camping, horseback riding, and more.
Helicopter Tours
Though you will of course be inside the helicopter during your tour, the helicopter tours give you a chance to experience the outdoors at the Lake of the Ozarks like you never have before. As you soar into the sky, you will get to view the truly magnificent splendor of our land and lake while experiencing the unique sense of weightlessness that can only be felt in a helicopter. If you have never been on a helicopter ride at the Lake of the Ozarks, it would be well worth incorporating one into your next trip down to the Lake.

While it is certainly not the only one, it is entirely possible that the lake itself is the most amazing outdoor attraction our area offers. People travel from all over to get to take part in all of the fun activities awaiting them on the water, such as swimming, boating, coving, skiing, tubing, knee-boarding, jet-skiing, parasailing, and more. If you don't own your own boat, there are plenty of local businesses offering boat charters and rentals. Your Lake of the Ozarks experience won't be complete without some time spent on the water!
