Memorial Day is usually viewed as the official kick-off to summer at the Lake of the Ozarks. Though the holiday is still a few weeks out, it feels like summer 2016 has already started! The Lake Area is teeming with life, and the warm temperatures have everyone out and about in their boats, convertibles, and motorcycles. Hot Summer Nights at the Lake

 Hot Summer Nights was officially voted Best Summer Event in the Lake Lifestyles Readers Poll 2016, and for good reason. This fun-filled event takes place on the Bagnell Dam Strip once a month from May to September, and it routinely draws hundreds of spectators from the Lake Area and far beyond. Hot Summer Nights is held on the second Friday of every month. The dates for Hot Summer Nights 2016 are:
  • May 13 -- "Route 66 Detour To The Lake"
  • June 10 -- "Rag Tops and T-Tops"
  • July 8 -- "Rats, Rods, & Street Machines"
  • August 12 -- "Since '66 - 50 Years Of Cruising On The Strip"
  • September 9 -- "Vettes For Veterans"

While similar overall, each night has its own unique theme (as listed above). Choose which theme appeals the most to you, or make it a point to attend as many of these events as you can all summer long!
