Spring Cleaning Check List for Your Lake of the Ozarks Home

It's official, Spring has arrived!!!  Throw open those windows, let the cool breeze filter through your rooms and enjoy the fresh clean feeling throughout your  home.  There is something about that cool spring breeze that reminds you that you have some work to do.  Spring Cleaning...it brings so much satisfaction but at the hefty investment of a lot of sweat equity.  How can one task bring so much grumbling and gratification at the same time?  One way to keep the grumbling low and the gratification high, is to get organized - because we all know that before it gets better, it has to get worse. It may not make the task enjoyable, but organization will help you be efficient and effective.

Below is the Fran Campbell Team's Spring Cleaning check list to help you get your home or condo sparkling clean.

 Kitchen:
  • Wipe down cabinets (especially the TOP of the cabinets)
  • Clean out and defrost your freezer 
  • Wash and sanitize trash cans
  • Clean oven
  • Clean the Refrigerator Coils 
  • Clean base boards
 Bedrooms:
  • Exchange the heavy bedding for lightweight blankets
  • Wash or replace Pillows
  • Clean out drawers and closets
  • Replace smoke detectors/alarm batteries
  • Flip Mattress 
Through out your Home:
  • Vacuum/ Clean Furniture
  • Dust surfaces, knick knacks, photos, lamps, door trim, ceiling fans etc.
  • Clean air vents
  • Shampoo carpets and rugs
  • Clean windows inside and out
  • Dust and wipe baseboards
  • Clean drapes/blinds/window treatment
Garage:
  • Wash and sanitize outdoor trash cans
  • Replace or clean furnace filters
  • Sweep the garage floor
Outdoors:
  • Check and replace light fixtures
  • Clean outdoor furniture
  • Clean walkways
  • Sweep away cobwebs/nests on Porch
  • Clean or power wash siding 
Remember, this list is just a starting point - customize your list to meet your needs so that your spring cleaning gets done quick and efficiently!!
