The Lake of the Ozarks Oma Noma Days is this Weekend!!

It's time to turn back time to the 1920-40s this weekend on the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip with the Annual Oma & Noma Heritage Festival. This event is created to celebrate some of the Lake of the Ozarks pioneers and help depict the history of the Lake of the Ozarks as well as the construction of the Bagnell Dam. Today, many people buy a Lake of the Ozarks Home to enjoy boating, fishing, swimming and watersports; however, back in 1931 it was just an idea that started with the brave steps of two people. Oma and Noma Degraffenreid were the first local residents to actually cross the Bagnell Dam and each year we celebrate their brave pioneer spirit with the Oma Noma Days. The event is this weekend, Saturday May 19th.
