Next to boating and fishing, golf is undoubtedly one of the most popular pastimes among people at the Lake of the Ozarks. Golf is not just enjoyed as a personal hobby, though - golf tournaments are consistently used to raise money for charities and important causes all over the Lake Area. The HK's Hospital Benefit Golf Tournament is no exception.

37th Annual HK's Golf Tournament Background


For almost forty years, the annual HK's Golf Tournament has been raising money for the improvement of our healthcare facilities at the Lake of the Ozarks. The tournament originated in the 1970s as a result of Harold Koplar (founder of the Lodge of the Four Seasons) and other forward-thinking activists who believed that residents and visitors at the Lake of the Ozarks should not have to travel fifty miles or more to receive quality medical care. Since it first opened in 1978, Lake Regional Health System has grown to offer many important medical services to the Lake Area, including surgery and cardiac, cancer, and orthopedic care.

This year, the money raised from this event will benefit Lake Regional's Cardiac Catheterization Lab. With the help of the tournament, the lab will be able to purchase the latest technology to treat and monitor patients with heart and blood vessel disease. The lab will also be able to purchase equipment that will enable physicians to implant pacemakers.

Friday, June 7th at the Lodge of the Four Seasons Marbella Ballroom
6:30 PM ~ VIP/Celebrity Party sponsored by Miner Mike's and Buster's. Attendees will get to visit with Kansas City Chiefs Ambassadors and other sports celebrities.
This event is invitation-only for certain sponsorship levels.

Saturday, June 6th at the Lodge of the Four Seasons Campana Hall
5:00 PM ~ Pairing Party and Silent/Live Auction
6:30 PM ~ First silent auction tables close
6:45 PM ~ Live auction begins with emcee Mike Kelly (voice of the Mizzou Tigers)
You can purchase tickets at the door for $25.

Sunday, June 7th at the Cove Golf Course and Club House
7:45 AM ~ Morning flight
1:00 PM ~ Afternoon flight
2:00 PM ~ Morning flight (with a $10,000 putting contest and prizes awarded)
6:30 PM ~ Afternoon flight (with a $10,000 putting contest and prizes awarded)
