Missouri weather can be tricky, but I think it is safe to say that boating season is upon us. As you pull out the swimwear and de-winterize your boats, here are a few of the Missouri Boating Laws from The Missouri State Water Patrol that will help ensure an enjoyable experience for you, your family and your fellow passengers. Operating a boat while intoxicated is a criminal offense subject to a fine and/or time in jail. The minimum age for operating any watercraft in the State of Missouri is 14 years. Children under the age of 7 years must WEAR a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) at all times unless confined in a fully enclosed area.
